REPORT ON VIDYALAYA LIBRARY FUNCTIONING
ACADEMIC
YEAR 2015-16
The
Library provides a welcoming learning environment for
students and staff; supports the school’s aims and curriculum; encourages
the love of reading and the development of students’ independent learning
skills .According to the school time table the students of Class I-V
having two library periods .They can refer books and participate in library
activities during this time.
Class Libraries
Class libraries are functioning for classes I to V.Seperate Issue
register is maintained for Class Library-01 Issue Register for each Classes
providing one page for each student.A number of 60 books
are in rotation for each classes according to their level which are segregated
and stickered according to the Classes.Library copies are maintained from
Class-I to V in which Class III-V will be writing the reviews and Classes I-II
write the new words and draw pictures.
The class Library Provides:-
1.Class Library Almirahs for all primary
classes in which books are displayed attractively
2.Hangigng Library for Magazines and Donated
Books
3.Lending books for a period of One week from
Class III-V
4.Incorporating different Activities of
Literary/Readers Club with Primary Section.
5.Circulation of Childrens Magazine twice in a
month.
6.CD / Film Show / Youtube Down loads relevant
to Children of Primary Section.
Different activities during class library
periods are:-
1.Charectrs reading the story
2.Play your favourite story
3.Present a tale of your own
4.G.K.Hunt
5.Know your pets (for Class-1)
