As a second gift from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan to the cultural capital of Kerala, K.V.KEPA ,Ramavarmapuram came into existence on 30th August 2010. This school is under the Ernakulam Region of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India. It has currently a strength of 329 students (as on 07/05/2012) with classes from I to X. This Vidyalaya primarily caters to the educational needs of the wards of Central Goverment Employees/State Government Employees including Kerala Police Academy Employees..
The Vidyalaya was inaugurated by Shri. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, honourable Minister for Home Affairs, Govt. of Kerala, in the presence of the honourable Revenue Minister Shri.K.P.Rajendranon 30th August 2010. The honourable Education Officer of Chennai Region, Smt. Usha Rani, ChairmanMr. Jose George IPS, DIG of Police, Dr.(Smt.) Nalayani, Principal K.V.Thrissur, Smt. Philomina Machery, Vice Principal, K.V.Thrissur, Shri. Alexander Jacob IPS, IG and the former DIG of KEPA, Shri Therambil Ramakrishanan MLA, Shri Jacob Punnoose IPS, DIG of Police, Prof. R. Bindu, Mayor, Shri Ambadi Venu,Dist. Panchayat President, Shri. A.T. James IAS, Dist. Collector, Shri Muhammed YasinIPS, IGP and Shri.V.K. Suresh Councillor were also present on the occasion. The Kerala Police has sponsored the temporary building with enough rooms and other facilities like computer lab, ground for P.T.etc. It was due to the sincere effort of Shri. Alexander Jacob IPS that the dream of another K.V. in Thrissur became a reality.
